This car impact was featured on the local news.  A drunk driver plowed through the yard at over 60 mph and hit this stone porch severely damaging it in the process.  The entire porch overhang and all the masonry work had to be rebuilt.  The stone work is constructed of granite blocks of various sizes and needed to match the home as closely as possible.  We accomplished this by reusing some of the salvageable stones and adding new ones from a local quarry.  We also needed the pointing (decorative mortar in between the blocks) to match the existing on the main house.  Finally a new porch slab was poured and a new custom made wrought iron railing was installed to complete the look.
