In lieu of the repairs required to restore the home from the lighting strike the customer opted to have RJE create the kitchen of their dreams.  We worked together with the customers designer to create the new kitchen and provided them with new custom cabinetry from Schrock.  We started here with removal of the wall between the existing kitchen and dining room to create an open floor plan.  We also increased the size of the opening from the foyer leading into the kitchen for a more dramatic entry to what would become a beautiful new kitchen and dining room.  The kitchen was completely rewired and re plumbed for new appliances, lighting, and plumbing fixtures.  They also utilized our granite supplier for a very beautiful granite countertop. 

 

As per the customer’s request the “leathered” side of the granite was installed as the finished side of the slabs.  This results in a textured feel to the stone as well as a more matte finish.  This option complimented the selected matte finish of the new kitchen cabinets very well, and the new hardwood flooring installed throughout the ground floor. Rounded out with new stainless steel appliances and a natural stone backsplash this   We also provided them with a small matching bar area in the den area adjacent to the kitchen.
